Role of copper slag on improvement of strength, quality and durability of high-strength self-compacting concrete: an industrial waste

This paper aims at the experimental study of durability properties and long-term mechanical self-compacting concrete with fly ash as secondary cementitious material copper slag inert material. Cement replaced 20% level fine aggregate 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, 100%. Twelve different mixes were prepared to assess like RCPT, Sorptivity, UPV. The microstructure SCC was observed using a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Mechanical compressive, split tensile, flexure strength ages 28, 90, 180, 365 days evaluated. Compressive CS improved from 85.53 102.89 MPa, Split tensile varies 4.82 6.74 flexural changes 11.03 11.82 MPa 40% replacement level. All enhanced use slag. Copper resistance against chloride penetration. RCPT showed optimum 50% which reduced 1054.74 401.26 coulombs. Sorptivity 0.013 mm/s1/2 0.006 for 40 also.
